BHRT or Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is a form of therapy that uses synthetic hormones to replace natural human hormones. Our patients normally have hormone imbalances that cause fatigue, anxiety or sadness.Through BHRT, we’re able to supplement their natural hormone levels and get them back to their normal selves. Our patients will have their baseline blood work performed and our doctor will prescribe a treatment based on their results.
Women primarily need hormone replacement therapy for Menopause. Around the age of 50, women naturally see a decline in their reproductive hormones. This, though normal, can seem to affect the day-to-day lives of many women. We help women who are experiencing menopause by introducing bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
Men’s natural hormones also decline in old age, which can affect stamina, muscle strength and their mental health. The most common hormone men need replaced is testosterone. Testosterone may be taken by injection, gel or with pellets. Testosterone levels in men will be monitored through lab work and dosages will need to be adjusted by the doctor as necessary.
